Financial Policy & Audit Committee

Charge

Develop and recommend to the Board of Regents fiscal policies and practices for the proper conduct of the operations of the College.

Recommend annual operating and capital budgets from subsequent approval by the BOR (the committee does not "prepare" the budgets)

Recommend the engagement of an independent accounting firm, investment managers and investment evaluation consultants.

Subject to general investment policies adopted by the Board of Regents, have general supervision over the Reserve and Pension Funds and other funds of the College, including developing investment guidelines.

Routinely evaluate the actual financial results being achieved by the individual programs of the College.

Select independent external auditor of the College's financial reports and policies, and reviews and approves the annual audit report for subsequent approval by the Board of Regents.

Advise the Board of Regents on the establishment of specific guidelines, fiscal and others, to be developed and used by the Committees and the Board of Regents in the evaluation of proposed or existing programs, product and services.

Develop and recommend to the Board of Regents travel and living expense reimbursement levels.

Note: The Financial Policy & Audit Committee also serves as the College's Pension Committee.
