ACP Guided Fellowship Program
ACP's Guided Fellowship Program enables recent residency graduates to achieve Fellowship (FACP) within three years with structured support, mentorship, and guidance throughout the program.

The FACP® credential is an honor that connects leaders in internal medicine to their like-minded peers and is a recognition of accomplishments and achievements over and above the practice of medicine.
Program Enrollment Application
How It Works
- Complete Pillars of Fellowship by submitting activities in your personal dashboard
- Receive personalized guidance to stay on track each year
- Complete at least three out of the four Pillars of Fellowship by the end of the program to be considered for election
Participants who complete the program and maintain active ACP membership are on-track for election to FACP.
Requirements for ACP Fellowship
To demonstrate their ongoing dedication to the profession of medicine, Guided Fellowship participants must complete one activity per year in one of the three areas:
- Community Engagement and Community Service;
- Practice Improvement or Scholarly Activities;
- Teaching, Coaching, Mentoring, or Leadership.
By the conclusion of the three-year program, Guided Fellowship participants must:
- Participate in activities in at least three of the four pillars of Fellowship and submit activities on their Dashboard by June 30 of each year;
- Be board certified in internal medicine or neurology and submit documentation of the same;
- Be a member in good standing, including current with ACP dues, for all three years of the program.
