Stage Party Instructions for Convocation 2026

Stage Party is comprised of recipients of Mastership, national awards, Honorary Fellowship, Special Representatives, members of the Board of Regents, Officers Emeriti, EVPs Emeriti, and ACP Senior Leadership Team.

The upcoming Convocation ceremony will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, in Hall F of the George R. Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. Convocation is a ceremony that recognizes outstanding contributors to internal medicine, held yearly at ACP’s annual meeting. New FACPs are inducted, visiting dignitaries (“Special Representatives”) from global internal medicine associations are introduced, and recipients of Mastership, Honorary Fellowships, and awards are presented.

Stoles

Members of the Board of Regents will be distributed their stoles at the Board of Regents meeting on April 14. All others may choose to pick up your stoles early on Wednesday, April 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. near Registration (South Lobby) or on Thursday, April 16 from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the same location. If unable to pick up your stole early, you may also pick up your stole in the Stage Party Check-In Area, in Hall F of the Moscone Center beginning at 4:30 p.m. Coat check will be provided in front of Hall F. Please be in the Assembly Area in Hall F by 5:00 p.m. You may keep your stole following the ceremony.

During the Ceremony

Recipients of Honorary Fellowship, Mastership, national awards, and Special Representatives will be announced during the ceremony and each group will be invited to stand to be recognized. The Convocation Program will be available digitally through the Internal Medicine Meeting app and scannable QR codes placed throughout the venue.

Guest Seating

Please note that no reserved seating tickets are necessary for guests, as all guest seating in Hall F is open. There will be ample seating available. However, guests should arrive early to ensure good seats and should be seated before 5:45 p.m., as no one will be seated during the processional.
