Date: Thursday, April 27, 2023
Time: Convocation begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. and lasts until approximately 80 minutes.
Location: The Convocation ceremony will be held in Hall D, San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, CA.
Registration for Convocation:
Registration is now closed. We are unable to accommodate walk-ins onsite this year.
Stoles Pick Up:
Stoles pick-up and assembly will open 4:30 p.m. in Hall E of the San Diego Convention Center. All new FACP must report to the Governors and New Fellows Assembly Area with their stoles no later than 5:30 p.m. You may keep your stole following the ceremony.
Seating:
Special seats will be reserved in the auditorium for the inductees.
Guests:
Guests are welcome to attend Convocation and no tickets are required. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis from 5:00-5:50 p.m. in Hall D and is suspended during the processional. Seating will continue after the processional.
Special Assistance:
Any Convocation participants who require special assistance to attend the ceremony should contact Meghann Williams at ACP Headquarters by March 13, 2023, via e-mail at mewilliams@acponline.org.
Portraits:
Portraits can be purchased from EPNAC Photography. Appointments can be made at the portrait desk located in the Hall D concourse for Thursday, April 27, 2023 and on Friday, April 28, 2023. We would encourage you to schedule your appointment in advance. There are several portrait packages available and prices vary according to the selection.
Candid Photographs:
Photographers will be taking candid photographs of Convocation participants in the hours leading up to and during the ceremony. Some of these photos may be used in future ACP promotional materials.
Wall of Fame:
New FACPs and their families are invited to visit the Wall of Fame, listing new FACPs invited to Convocation this year. A terrific photo opportunity! The Wall of Fame is located in the concourse outside Hall D.
Fees:
There are no fees regarding the Convocation Ceremony.
Participating in Convocation:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, FACPs who would have been invited to participate in the 2020 and 2021 ceremonies if they had been held in person will be invited through the 2024 Convocation Ceremonies. All FACPs are welcome to be inducted at a future Convocation ceremony upon request and are advised to contact ACP headquarters at least four months prior to the ceremony.
Registered attendees on-location at an ACP meeting or event must be up to date with Covid-19 vaccination prior to the event. ACP permits registered attendees to attest to being vaccinated. More information on vaccination attestation to come.
