Voting Information
Voting for the next Governor-elect begins September 25, 2026, and concludes on November 6, 2026.
Eligible voting members (MACPs, FACPs, Members, Fellows-in-Training, and 2-year Resident Members with an elect date of 9/1/2024 or earlier) will receive an election email containing their unique and personal voting credentials to vote online.
- Ballot materials are not sent from ACP directly. ACP has partnered with Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) to conduct the election.

Candidate Bios
Candidate Statement: I have practiced general internal medicine (inpatient and outpatient) in Virginia for 15 years, with a strong emphasis on medical education. Throughout that time, I have been driven by three core ideals: education, leadership, and community. I served as an EVMS/ODU IM associate program director for fourteen years and have been the IM residency program director since 2023. My leadership style has evolved, but my commitment to my institution, the Virginia ACP, and the communities we serve has remained steady. I value listening closely, seeking input, and working collaboratively to develop practical solutions to issues that affect everyone. I aim to lead with compassion, humor, and candor. In today’s environment, it is essential that the largest medical-specialty organization in the US has a clear and unified voice. It would be my honor to do what I can to achieve that goal in service to our Chapter and the Board of Governors.

Candidate Statement: I am honored to be nominated for consideration as Governor of the Virginia Chapter of the American College of Physicians. The Governor serves as a vital link between ACP members, the Chapter, and the national organization—advocating for internists, fostering professional development, and advancing excellence in patient care, education, and advocacy. These responsibilities align closely with my career long commitment to medical education and mentorship. Through my previous role as Associate Program Director and my current role as Director of the Ambulatory Medicine Clerkship at VCU, I have dedicated myself to training future internists and promoting high value, patient centered care. At a time when academic, community based, and private practice physicians face mounting challenges, collaborative leadership is essential. Together, we can advocate for our profession. I would welcome the opportunity to represent and advance the interests of Internal Medicine physicians at both the state and national levels.
