Welcome to the North Carolina Chapter of the ACP!
We are a chapter of almost 3500 Internal Medicine physicians and medical students, and I am proud to serve as the Governor for our members.
I am a North Carolina native with over 20 years of practice experience in outpatient primary care medicine.
Medical education is strong in our chapter. North Carolina has five medical schools and 14 internal medicine residency program sites.
Our Annual Scientific Session is February each year- Save the Date for Feb 9-10, 2024, in Raleigh NC.
We plan to schedule more in-person events throughout the year as well.
We would love to have you become involved in the activities of our chapter.
You can let us know about your interests by completing a short form. We are looking for members on many of our committees and our council. You are also welcome to email me as well.
We support our members with educational grants, professional development programs, opportunities to share scientific posters and presentations, well-being and professional fulfillment activities, and advocacy discussions and events.
We facilitate a community of physicians who can teach and learn from each other. Join us monthly in our recurring events:
- Writers Wellness Workshop (first Wednesdays)
- Virtual Doctors Lounge (second Thursdays) – look for the registration link monthly in email newsletters.
