William S. Palmer, MD, FACP

Dr. Lin Brown selected for advancement to Mastership
Dr. Brown was officially recognized with ACP Mastership during the 2021 Internal Medicine Meeting. Masterships are awarded because of “personal character, positions of honor, contributions towards furthering the purposes of the ACP, eminence in practice or in medical research, or other attainments in science or in the art of medicine." Dr. Brown is Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine and continues to practice rheumatology at New London Hospital. Throughout her career she has been involved in teaching physical diagnosis and history taking including leading the course in Physical Diagnosis in her early career. She served as Governor of the ACP New Hampshire Chapter from 2010 to 2014.
New Hampshire Chapter receives 2021 Chapter Excellence Bronze Award
We are pleased to announce that our chapter is in receipt of the Bronze Level of the 2021 Chapter Excellence Award! The award recognizes chapters that achieve basics in chapter management. In order to achieve the Chapter Excellence Award, chapters must meet twenty-one Bronze criteria. Thank you to those chapter members who assisted us in all of these endeavors! For their hard work and dedication, we received this award.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock/Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital Program welcomed their newest group of residents this summer. Dr. Kent Powell, the New Hampshire Chapter Governor-elect, serves as Associate Program Director overall and as Program Director for the Primary Care Track. Being involved in leadership roles in residency programs is yet another way ACP members are making a difference.
