Voting Information

Voting for the next Governor-elect begins September 25, 2026, and concludes on November 6, 2026.

Eligible voting members (MACPs, FACPs, Members, Fellows-in-Training, and 2-year Resident Members with an elect date of 9/1/2024 or earlier) will receive an election email containing their unique and personal voting credentials to vote online.

  • Ballot materials are not sent from ACP directly. ACP has partnered with Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) to conduct the election.
  • Please add noreply@directvote.net as an approved sender so that your ballot arrives safely in your inbox. The subject of the ballot email is “Vote Now! ACP 2026 Governor-elect Election Voting Information”.

Candidate Bios

Candidate Statement: For 23 years, ACP has served as my professional “home.” I have been fortunate to serve in many ACP leadership roles and on national committees with physicians that I truly admire and with an organization that clearly aligns with my values. While I don’t always agree with every ACP position, I understand and appreciate the meticulous process that ACP employs to develop its evidence-based policies and its courage to affect positive change. I am excited for the opportunity to serve as Governor and to bring my experience and relationships with national ACP to this role. I admire our current and past leadership, membership, and early career physicians, and I hope to engage and recognize all of you so that you proudly identify ACP as your professional “home” in the way that ACP and our Chapter best serve you. Candidate Statement: As a physician, I believe that patient care is paramount. Our profession is more than a career—it is a calling to improve the health, well-being, and quality of life of those we serve. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to advocating for patients, supporting colleagues, and advancing the practice of internal medicine. The ACP has a unique ability to influence healthcare policy, promote evidence-based medicine, and advocate for patients on a national scale. Through its leadership and advocacy efforts, ACP has positively impacted millions of Americans and strengthened the health of our communities. I am seeking to serve as Governor as I am passionate about amplifying the voice of internists and ensuring that patient-centered care remains at the forefront of healthcare decision-making. I would be honored to work with ACP members to advance meaningful change, support our profession, and improve the lives of the patients and communities we serve.

Am I eligible to vote?

Eligible voting members are MACPs, FACPs, Members, Fellows-in-Training, and 2-year Resident members with an elect date of 9/1/2024 or earlier.

Honorary Fellows, Student Members, Non-Physician Affiliates, Physician Affiliates, and Traditional Graduate Members are not eligible to vote.

What if I cannot find my ballot?

First, check your spam or junk folder for your ballot email. The subject of that email is "Vote Now! ACP 2026 Governor-elect Election Voting Information". If you still cannot find the ballot email, contact SBS at support@directvote.net or call toll-free 1-866-909-3549 for a replacement.

How do I update or change my ACP membership status or category so I may vote?

Please contact ACP Member and Product Services at help@acponline.org or call 215-351-2600. Once your membership is active/paid, contact Julie Sinkoff at jsinkoff@acponline.org. She will confirm your voting eligibility and request ballot materials be sent to you.
