ACP Internal Medicine 2026 Highlights and Photos
Internal Medicine Meeting 2026 was held in San Francisco, California, from April 16-18, with an attendance of 8,410 registrants. The meeting featured more than 200 sessions covering a wide variety of clinical and practice management topics for doctors of internal medicine and its subspecialties.
Our global reach continues to expand, with strong participation from international regions. This year, the Internal Medicine Meeting welcomed attendees from 77 countries outside the United States, with the largest representation from the following areas:

Beyond these leading countries, participation remained strong from Sri Lanka, Australia, Colombia, Japan, Panama, Bangladesh, Costa Rica, and Switzerland, highlighting the scale and diversity of global engagement. Notably, eight international delegations (groups of 10 or more physicians) utilized ACP's specially priced delegation registration rates to coordinate their participation.
At the Convocation Ceremony on April 16, 322 physicians were celebrated as new Fellows of the American College of Physicians (FACP®), including 73 physicians representing 25 countries outside the United States. Seventy-four members were either awarded Mastership (MACP®) or recognized with ACP named awards, including 1 recipient of the Inspirational Global Member Award. The College also bestowed Honorary Fellowships to 5 presidents of global internal medicine societies.
ACP was honored to host presidents and representatives of internal medicine societies from around the world. The international delegates were recognized on stage during the Convocation ceremony and participated in ACP's 19th Annual Global Forum, “Advancing Internal Medicine Through AI: Global Insights on Clinical Practice and Education.” The program was moderated by Dr. Darilyn Moyer, ACP's Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Ricardo Gómez-Huelgas, Past President of the European Federation of Internal Medicine. The Forum provided an important platform for global internal medicine physician leaders to explore the impact of AI on clinical practice and medical education.
