We're back with another round of news, updates, and good vibes from your internal medical family. Whether you're a longtime member or new to the crew, we're always here to keep you in the loop and celebrate what makes our chapter awesome!

As always, the change of leaf color indicates the changes in the seasons, something that I truly love and appreciate about our beautiful state. It is also a constant reminder that there is little that is truly constant in this world, except change itself. Hope you are all finding ways to find space and push pause, to slow down. Whether it was Halloween trick-or-treaters, or digging out our sweaters, beanies and scarves, or gearing up for that big Turkey… I genuinely hope you all find your way to joy and balance. Let's not forget those needles sticks for the seasonal vaccines.

Our chapter and chapter leadership has also had much to celebrate; from National Leadership Day, back in late April, to our very first Strategic planning retreat in July; from our social Meet and Greets in Muncie, and Evansville, we are always searching for ways to connect with all of you, as we spread the message across the state.

Most celebratory of all was our Annual Chapter meeting, on Friday Nov 7th 2025. Many thanks to all who attended in person, and virtually. It is always lovely making connections.

Once again, we had some exceptional speakers, telling us all about how best to care for the pregnant patient, to reflective learning for clinicians, to the usual outpatient and inpatient updates that we always learn so much from. We even had our own, very fun Thieves Market, for the first time!

 Resources & Benefits

Please always know that the ACP website is full of resources for all of us, no matter what stage of practice, or our need may be. Today I want to highlight the “Clinical Information” tab – a wealth of information, form Immunization resources, to AI, to guidelines and recommendations.

Clinical Guidelines, Recommendations and Updates

AMWA (American Medical Women's Association)

Did you know that all ACP members receive a free AMWA affiliate membership (and for $60, they can upgrade to full membership). This is a great benefit for ACP members to tap into resources for physicians and trainees, including discounted leadership programs, advocacy (that complements their ACP advocacy!), committee leadership, peer recognition/awards program, and other opportunities to accelerate their careers. We also encourage professional recognition via ACP through promoting Fellowship in the College whenever possible - including through having a fast-track for Fellowship in AMWA for FACPs.

Thanks for all you do for our chapter and our community. Here's to another great season. Stay safe, be well and have a very happy Turkey Day with family and friends, or simply giving gratitude for much in our lives. Finally, please take a moment to spend time in reflection, and being kind to each other.
