Trends in Cancer Incidence in Younger and Older Adults. An International Comparative Analysis
Generations at Risk: Unveiling the Global Increase in Cancer at Both Ends of Adulthood

There is concern about increases in cancer among younger adults. This international surveillance study compares cancer incidence trends in younger adults and older adults across 42 countries between 2003 and 2017. The authors of the accompanying editorial discuss the findings and call for future research to better understand the differences in cancer epidemiology, response to treatment, and consequences of cancer diagnoses in younger and older adults.

Despite substantial intragroup diversity, Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Americans are often viewed as a single group in medical research. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer mortality in US women, and, unlike other racial groups, is increasing in incidence among AAPI women.
