Join Annals of Internal Medicine for a new, exclusive in-person course being held February 26 to 27, 2026. This course will equip clinical researchers, regardless of experience level, with the practical skills and strategic knowledge necessary to prepare and present their work to increase the probability of publication in their chosen respected, high-impact medical journal.

In addition to formal presentations, the course will include interactive small group sessions during which participants will receive feedback on their own work.

This course will be facilitated by highly experienced editors from Annals of Internal Medicine, The New England Journal of Medicine, and Gastroenterology.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn techniques for selecting the right journal and how to meet complex publication policies and requirements from a panel of expert journal editors.
  • Learn how to prepare titles, abstract, tables, and figures that increase the probability of getting your clinical research accepted and published in respected, high-impact medical journals.
  • Understand how to effectively respond to requests for revision, turning critical feedback into an opportunity for acceptance.

Course Requirements

  • Participants can specialize in any discipline but must have a research report you are preparing for publication ready for feedback during the course.
  • Submit a copy of your draft title, abstract, and tables and figures by February 15, 2026. If these materials are not received by February 15, participants will be expected to contribute to the small group sessions via discussion of others' work but will not receive feedback on their own work.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be received in writing by January 27, 2026, to obtain a full refund. Any cancellations after that date will not be eligible for a refund. Individuals who fail to attend the course (no-shows) will not be entitled to any refund.
