Beyond the Risk Assessment: Suicide Prevention Skills for Physicians
Join the ACP Hawaii, California Southern 1 & 2, Nevada and Arizona chapters for joint a webinar September 19, 2026
This webinar will be led by two suicide prevention trainers from the Hawai'i Governor's Challenge to Prevent Suicide in Service Members, Veterans and Families Lethal Means Safety workgroup. They will teach suicide prevention microskills applicable to the clinical and community setting, including recognizing commonly overlooked cues that indicate the need to evaluate suicide risk, providing an overview of widely used screening and assessment tools, and describing practical interventions to support individuals at elevated risk for suicide, including safety planning strategies and approaches to reducing access to four important types of lethal means.
