Candidate Statement: ACP has been my professional home since residency training. If given the opportunity, I would contribute my leadership skills toward the ongoing growth of the NE Chapter. Connecting with members has always been my passion and getting to know the real person, not just as a label "student", "resident", "member", "early career physician", or "International Medical Graduate". Too often in our busy lives, we do not stop and pause to see the real challenges we all have and face each day. While our chapter is vast and involves a multifaceted group of members, I envision a unified and engaged chapter that can accomplish great things that will impact our local communities and beyond. It will be my utmost pleasure to work together with our amazing committees, to foster and advocate for change where we can all be the Internist at heart. As an IMG hospitalist I understand these challenges firsthand.

ACP Chapter and Leadership Activities: I have been a member at Large, then part of the Governor Advisory Council for NE, along with participation as Chair of Membership Committee (since 2022) and Chair of Meeting Program Planning Committee (since 2023). Before becoming chair, I was an active participant as member in both of these committees. I have assisted with planning the fall scientific meetings, Doctor's Dilemma Competitions, Abstract Competitions, membership engagement/recruitment activities, and hosted our first "Apple Picking activity" in October 2025. I was Chapter Awardee in 2023 as "Early Career Physician of the Year".

Candidate Statement: I am drawn to serve as the ACP Nebraska Chapter Governor because of a deep commitment to advancing the well-being of patients and physicians in my community. In my roles as ACP Health and Human Policy Chair, founding board member of the Nebraska Alliance for Physician Advocacy, and active member of the Nebraska Medical Association and Metro Omaha Medical Society, I have worked to address challenges our patients and healthcare community face. From food insecurity to physician well-being, I have seen how thoughtful policy and systems change can make a meaningful difference, and how essential physician engagement is to that progress. I also value mentoring future physicians and have enjoyed helping learners participate in advocacy through HPPC. I hope to help shape their experience of a strong professional home within ACP. I would bring a grounded, collaborative perspective and a strong dedication to representing our chapter with integrity and purpose.
