Welcome to a brand-new year, with hopes that you have all have a safe, happy and healthy Holiday season, no matter how you spent it, and that 2026 is starting off well.

How about those New Year Resolutions? If it's not resolutions that keep you busy, perhaps it's football. College or NFL? Maybe it's just hibernating, the best you can, throwing another log on the fire, waiting for our days to get longer and warmer. I have already forgotten a few resolutions but making a promise to live each day with intention continues to be strong. No matter how we find ourselves walking through life's path, never forget to check in with yourself, and work towards living your best life.

Our chapter may have taken a few quiet weeks off for the Holidays too, but there is always work being done. As ACP gears up for our Annual Convention, please don't forget to join us in beautiful San Fran, and for our chapter's evening out at the El Dorado. As with every year, we have much to plan for the site meetings, Leadership Day and our annual chapter meeting in the fall. Save the Date October 3 As always, please mark your calendars with the dates (below).

Join us in San Francisco, as we celebrate our new fellows at the Convocation, root for our IN-Doctor's Dilemma team from IU and celebrate our residents and students at the poster presentations. Not to mention, all the new breakthroughs, knowledge, networking and yes…free pens!

Congratulations again to our New Chapter Fellows.

Thanks for all you do for our chapter and our community. Here's to another great season. Stay safe and be well, whether at a Super Bowl party, making Valentine's with your kids, or counting the days till it's warm again. Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom. - Viktor Frankl

 ACP Wellbeing

ACP Indiana Wellbeing Champion, Dr. Corey Blum attended the Finding Inspiration and Resilience in Medicine (FIRM) conference on January 30th. The event held by IUSM and MUCOM students to promote physician wellness and provide resources to prevent burnout was held at St. Vincent. Thank you, Dr. Blum, for representing ACP Indiana and the ACP Wellbeing Initiatives!

Affiliate Membership AMWA (American Medical Women's Association)

Did you know that all ACP members receive a free AMWA affiliate membership (and for $60, they can upgrade to full membership). This is a great benefit for ACP members to tap into resources for physicians and trainees, including discounted leadership programs, advocacy (that complements their ACP advocacy!), committee leadership, peer recognition/awards program, and other opportunities to accelerate their careers. We also encourage professional recognition via ACP through promoting Fellowship in the College whenever possible - including through having a fast-track for Fellowship in AMWA for FACPs.
