Voting Information
Voting for the next Governor-elect begins September 25, 2026, and concludes on November 6, 2026.
Eligible voting members (MACPs, FACPs, Members, Fellows-in-Training, and 2-year Resident Members with an elect date of 9/1/2024 or earlier) will receive an election email containing their unique and personal voting credentials to vote online.
- Ballot materials are not sent from ACP directly. ACP has partnered with Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) to conduct the election.

Candidate Bios
Candidate Statement: I am honored to seek election to the Board of Governors and to continue my longstanding commitment to ACP’s mission of advancing the science, education, and practice of internal medicine. My career has been deeply shaped by ACP’s values and by a passion for developing physicians across the professional lifespan. What I bring uniquely is the integration of leadership in medical education, faculty development, and health equity. As a Professor of Medicine and Medical Education and a national leader in mentorship, I have led innovative programs spanning the continuum, creating inclusive learning environments and strong mentorship pipelines. I have also served in regional ACP leadership roles, understanding member needs and bringing local perspectives to national conversations. Rooted in my work with the Illinois Northern chapter, I am committed to representing our diverse membership, strengthening engagement, and advancing ACP’s mission through thoughtful and inclusive leadership within the Board of Governors.

Candidate Statement: I have had a long history of service to the ACP Northern Illinois Chapter, starting in 2012, as Education Committee Chair. I am a longstanding member of the Governor’s Council. Currently, I chair our Healthcare and Public Policy Committee, guiding our members at Leadership Day, and writing resolutions to shape policy in Illinois and nationally. I work as a PCP at Alivio Medical Center, an FQHC in Chicago. I am also a part-time Physician Advisor with the AMA’s Physician Satisfaction and Practice Sustainability section. As a former residency program director, I served on the ACGME Transitional Year Review Committee. I wrote board exam questions for the ABIM Test Writing Committee. I have devoted my career to improving healthcare policy through organized medicine. I am a past president of both the Illinois State and the Chicago Medical Societies. I would be honored to continue that work as our Chapter’s Governor.
