Voting Information

Voting for the next Governor-elect begins September 25, 2026, and concludes on November 6, 2026.

Eligible voting members (MACPs, FACPs, Members, Fellows-in-Training, and 2-year Resident Members with an elect date of 9/1/2024 or earlier) will receive an election email containing their unique and personal voting credentials to vote online.

  • Ballot materials are not sent from ACP directly. ACP has partnered with Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) to conduct the election.
  • Please add noreply@directvote.net as an approved sender so that your ballot arrives safely in your inbox. The subject of the ballot email is “Vote Now! ACP 2026 Governor-elect Election Voting Information”.

Candidate Bios

Candidate Statement: I wish to serve on the Board of Governors with gratitude, humility, and a strong commitment to the ACP Central America Chapter. The College has been an important part of my professional growth, and I recognize the legacy of the mentors and leaders who have built this Chapter through service, academic excellence, and collegiality. I would be honored to continue that legacy while creating new opportunities for younger physicians. My background in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, epidemiology, research, hospital leadership, and international collaboration has shown me the value of working across institutions and countries. I believe the Chapter can continue strengthening inclusive leadership, collaboration, mentorship, education, research, physician well-being, thoughtful use of artificial intelligence, and career development. If elected, I would be committed to working collaboratively to move this work forward, always with the goal of improving care for our patients.

Candidate Statement: Apreciados miembros: Después de 37 años de pertenecer al ACP, pongo a su consideración mi candidatura con el compromiso de servir con cercanía, transparencia y resultados. Creo en nuestro potencial para fortalecer el liderazgo, la educación y la excelencia en Medicina Interna. Trabajaré para fortalecer la membresía mediante una participación inclusiva y colaborativa. Apoyaremos que los programas de residencia mantengan los estándares del ACP y ABIM. Impulsaré el “Grupo de Mentores Osler” (Fellows y Masters), para compartir conocimientos y experiencias con las nuevas generaciones de médicos, al tiempo que reconoceremos la excelencia de nuestros miembros distinguidos. Am I eligible to vote?

Eligible voting members are MACPs, FACPs, Members, Fellows-in-Training, and 2-year Resident members with an elect date of 9/1/2024 or earlier.

Honorary Fellows, Student Members, Non-Physician Affiliates, Physician Affiliates, and Traditional Graduate Members are not eligible to vote.

What if I cannot find my ballot?

First, check your spam or junk folder for your ballot email. The subject of that email is "Vote Now! ACP 2026 Governor-elect Election Voting Information". If you still cannot find the ballot email, contact SBS at support@directvote.net or call toll-free 1-866-909-3549 for a replacement.

How do I update or change my ACP membership status or category so I may vote?

Please contact ACP Member and Product Services at help@acponline.org or call 215-351-2600. Once your membership is active/paid, contact Julie Sinkoff at jsinkoff@acponline.org. She will confirm your voting eligibility and request ballot materials be sent to you.
