Career and Professional Development Center Highlights From Internal Medicine Meeting 2026

We had a blast this year at the ACP Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC)! The CPDC was abuzz throughout the meeting with Peer Coaching sessions, poster presentations, Mini But Mighty Skills sessions, and connections made between colleagues old and new in the Networking Lounge! Over 1200 Recharge Kits and countless more sensory grounding tools were handed out at the Well-being Fun Zone, where members were able to relax and unwind while making magnets or coloring. ACP's QI Leadership Training Pre-Course at Internal Medicine Meeting 2026

ACP's annual quality improvement (QI) leadership training program had another great session providing meaningful QI implementation support based on principles of clinician engagement, patient and family partnership, team-based care, promotion of health equity, and promotion of clinician well-being. Congrats to our group of current WBCs who worked together, with the support of a trained ACP Coach, as they designed their QI project. Thank you also to our wonderful QI Faculty for another engaging workshop!

Experience Coaching Support: Designed for Early Career Physicians

The early years of practice come with big decisions, steep learning curves, and limited time to reflect. Coaching isn't one more task—it's protected time to step back, think strategically, and make confident decisions in a system that rarely gives you space to do so.

Work with an ACP Physician Peer Coach in a one-on-one or small group session to gain practical insights on career direction, leadership growth, communication challenges, and professional fulfillment.
