WASHINGTON July 24, 2023 – The United States has significant gaps in its pandemic and public health emergency response system leaving it unprepared for future emergencies, says the American College of Physicians (ACP) in a new policy paper published today in the Annals of Internal Medicine. Preparing for Future Pandemics and Public Health Emergencies: An American College of Physicians Policy Position Paper makes recommendations about what needs to be done to ensure the U.S.

Programs will advance health equity and address diagnostic gaps

PHILADELPHIA, July 19, 2023 – Lack of trust in health care can have significant consequences for the health of diverse communities. To explore ways to address this challenge, a coalition of funders working toward improving trust in health care have awarded $470,000 in grants to twenty projects at medical schools and teaching hospitals across the United States.
