GOVERNOR’S MESSAGE…

Sometimes, the best Christmas traditions are the simplest: Visiting our relatives, sharing with friends, and above all, feeling the satisfaction that our patients are healthy and always grateful for our care and advice.

This year, there are many things to be thankful for: my family, health, and above all, for having a team committed to educating our internal medicine doctors in Puerto Rico. Thank you all for your voluntary and selfless work!

The activities carried out in the second half of the year were all a success; Art and Brunch and the Clinical Vignettes and Research Abstract Competition were testaments to this. The next year starts full-handed with our annual meeting, Advances in Internal Medicine, which will take place from February 29 to March 2, 2024. The program is ambitious and comprehensive, with diverse important and current topics for internal medicine physicians. The activity is accredited for 18 CMEs and, for the first time, has the largest MOC credits. Mark your calendars. I hope to see you at this event.

“The spirit of Christmas is bright and magical. When you start to feel it, it will enchant you with hope and wonder that lasts beyond the holiday season.” Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

EDWIN ALICEA COLON, MD, FACP
