Meet the New Idaho Governor-elect Designee
Congratulations to the Idaho Chapter Governor-elect Designee (GED), Lesleigh A. Box, MD, MPH, FACP. Our new GED will complete a year of training as a Governor-elect and then will start her four-year term as Governor in the Spring of 2024. As Governor, Dr. Box will serve as the official representative of the College for the Idaho Chapter, providing a link between members at the local level and leadership at the national level. In the meantime, Dr. Box will be working closely with Dr. Inouye (the current governor) and College staff to learn about the College and her duties as Governor. To learn more about the new GED, read her bio below.

Candidate Statement: The practice of medicine in Idaho is rapidly evolving. As governor of the Idaho Chapter of the American College of Physicians, I would like to increase the involvement of internal medicine physicians in Idaho's changing political, educational, and health environment. My experience in advocacy at the state and national level as well as my continued practice as a hospitalist and primary care provider will facilitate this goal. I look forward to learning more from ACP members across the state and from across the nation. Building relationships and continuing to strive to improve health is why I would like to be governor of Idaho ACP.
