ACP’s COVID-19 Response
ACP has developed information and resources to support those on the frontlines of the COVID-19 public health emergency. From clinical information updated daily, to telemedicine implementation policies, to advocacy for regulations that support financial viability of medical practices, ACP is dedicating significant resources to help our members at this extraordinary time.
ACP's Philanthropic Initiative
Through a patient-first lens, ACP leads in professional development, medical education, publishing, setting clinical standards and advocating for patient and physician well-being.
Maintaining and promoting the power of the human connection in medicine is central to ACP’s overarching vision. The scope and pace of transformational change in medicine today, brought about in large part by technological innovation, is unprecedented and demands ACP's focused engagement.
The challenges facing early career professionals are exponentially compounded by this dynamic and the exciting new educational and practice landscapes these technologies have created. These innovations can become essential tools to achieve ACP’s ambitious goals for internal medicine.
To ensure this outcome, it is more vital than ever that ACP and its 159,000 members work as stewards of this transformation and as advocates for the patient and the human connection.
By supporting ACP’s Philanthropy Initiative with a leadership gift, you will join the ACP Leaders Circle Giving Society, a community of ACP members recognized for their generous gifts in support of the College's work.
ACP’s Philanthropic Initiative has these focus areas:
- ACP will guide and collaborate to shape the transformative changes in medicine through innovative technologies to ensure the human connection is paramount and that the patient is always the primary beneficiary.
- The ACP Education Fund supports programming for internal medicine trainees along with ongoing support to many of ACP's member benefits, helping ensure that the physicians of today and tomorrow enjoy the unique challenges and satisfactions of internal medicine.
- ACP will build on the I.M. Proud communication initiative to generate broader awareness of the vital role and essential contributions of internists.
