Successful completion of these CME activities, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn medical knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification program. You can then click the “Claim CME” button once you qualify for CME credit and are ready to submit. Learners should keep in mind their yearly CME and MOC deadlines when determining the appropriate time to submit. You can track your CME/MOC submission progress and print out certificates on the MKSAP 19 Digital CME/MOC/CPD page.

Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada: MOC Credits

This activity is an Accredited Self-Assessment Program (Section 3) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and approved by the Canadian Society of Internal Medicine. You may claim a maximum of 300 hours (credits are automatically calculated). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Accreditation is valid from August 31, 2021, to December 31, 2024.

How Royal College Fellows can earn MOC credits

After answering at least one of two individual questions correctly within a subspecialty section (earning a score of at least 50%) and submitting for CME credits, you will earn one quarter of a credit hour per individual question and will receive an email with your certificate of completion confirming that you have earned CME credits. Visit the Royal College MAINPORT site to input your hours (Royal College ID and password required). When inputting your hours, note that the MKSAP 19 activity number is 00013153.

Royal Australasian College of Physicians: CPD Credits

Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) can claim Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits for MKSAP participation in the RACP’s online MyCPD program.

We recommend claiming your activity under MyCPD Category 1 – Educational Activities, worth 1 credit per hour. The MyCPD framework and further CPD information is available in the MyCPD interactive Handbook.

 

Virtual Dx CME and MOC Information for Physicians

MKSAP 19 Extension Questions CME and MOC Information for Physicians

Each MKSAP 19 Extension Question allows you to earn up to one quarter of an AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ per question (maximum of 12.5 total points available per MKSAP 19 Extension Question set; maximum of 50 total points available for completion of all four MKSAP 19 Extension Question sets).

  • Credit for Extension Questions Set 1 is available from July 26, 2022 to January 31, 2025.
  • Credit for Extension Questions Set 2 is available from January 17, 2023 to January 31, 2025.
  • Credit for Extension Questions Set 3 is available from July 31, 2023 to January 31, 2025.

It is the policy of the American College of Physicians (ACP) to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all its educational activities. Mitigation of Conflicts

To mitigate all conflicts of interest and influences of vested interests, ACP’s content planners used best evidence and updated clinical care guidelines in developing content, when such evidence and guidelines were available. All content underwent review by external peer reviewers not on the committee to ensure that the material was balanced and unbiased.
