ACP POCUS 5: Abdominal Free Fluid

Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) techniques provide physicians with new options for detecting and visualizing free abdominal fluid. This guide provides necessary background information to prepare internists for engagement with hands-on POCUS training for use in the evaluation of intra-abdominal free fluid. 

This online learning activity presumes that you are already comfortable with the basic information provided in the first component of the ACP POCUS learning series: "ACP POCUS: Obtaining Adequate Clinical Images for Interpretation".
