ACP names Michael Weis, MBA, Chief Financial Officer

ACP is largest medical specialty organization and second-largest physician group in U.S.

Philadelphia, January 6, 2016 -- The American College of Physicians (ACP) has named Michael Weis, MBA, Chief Financial Officer.

"Michael Weis brings impressive non-profit association finance experience to the American College of Physicians," said Steven Weinberger, MD, MACP, ACP's Executive Vice President and CEO. "In his previous roles he has worked extensively with governance leadership, boards, and committees; financial analysis and forecasting; budgeting; strategic and financial planning; and instituting financial discipline."

Mr. Weis joins ACP from the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) where he was Senior Vice President, Global Finance and Administration. Before joining the MMA, Mr. Weis held the position of Chief Financial Officer & Deputy Executive Director for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers as well as senior finance positions at the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers. Prior to his non-profit assignments, Mr. Weis worked in corporate finance for several manufacturing and consumer products companies. He earned his MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University and his BA in Finance from Upsala College.
