Governor's Message
Dear CT ACP Colleagues:
Summer has flown by, but the CT ACP Chapter has been busy planning for fall events, including an exciting program for our Annual Scientific Meeting in October. Please check out the updates and the registration information below.
I am happy to announce a new addition this year as we finalize plans for our “Medical Student-Meet a Mentor” program. I hope many of you will join in this educational opportunity to share your experience and insight with our wonderful and highly engaged medical students from all three Connecticut schools.
We've also included the Final “Call for Abstracts.” We're looking forward to an excellent array of submissions again this year.
The ever lively qualifying round of Doctor's Dilemma was held this week. Congratulations to the four highest scoring teams, UCONN Primary Care IM Residency Program, Bridgeport Hospital IM Residency Program, Yale Traditional IM Residency Program and UCONN Traditional IM Residency Program that will go on to compete at the Annual Scientific Meeting in October.
We've also included a new Award Nominations form and hope you will submit nominees for the chapter awards we present at the meeting.
I hope you will review this edition of our newsletter and check out many of the ways CTACP is engaged, highlighting the contributions of our colleagues and serving as a voice for our profession.
I am continually proud of how involved many of you are in our organization, both locally and at the national level. All of these efforts are critical to advancing the goals of the profession and serving the needs of our patients. If you are not yet involved in CT ACP but would like to be, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Executive Directors, Lisa Winkler and Tricia Dinneen Priebe, at lisa@grassrootsct.com
Sincerely,
Ruth
