The ballots for the current Governors-elect election have been mailed. The voting membership (Masters, Fellows, Members, and Resident/Fellow Members with an elect date of 9/1/2017 or earlier) can vote online or mail-in ballot.

Candidate Statement:
En los difíciles tiempos que vive nuestro país, donde las limitaciones incluyen en acceso a la actualización científica, el rol de las Sociedades Científicas es velar por que el conocimiento llegue sin retardo a la comunidad médica. En este caso a nuestros médicos internistas, quienes siempre han encontrado en el ACP un aliado indispensable. Brindar esa oportunidad, sería una de las metas a cumplir a través de las actividades a implementar como gobernadora del capítulo Venezuela - ACP, la cual estaría ajustada tanto a las necesidades del país como a los avances médicos de nuestra especialidad, siempre manteniendo la visión del individuo como un todo dentro de los principios humanísticos y éticos del ejercicio médico. Las actividades docentes a implementar tendrían una visión teórico - práctica, sin olvidar el arte como vía educativa y complemento indispensable del ser humano.

Candidate Statement:
I wish to be elected to the Board of Governors to continue and improve the very high level of activities of the Chapter, looking to stimulate the present members to participate more and to incorporate new ones with excellent professional level. It is also my purpose to offer a service to the community, particularly to those in more need, through the members of the Chapter. There is another area to offer to the Board of Governors and to the Chapter a greater contribution in the field of Clinical Bioethics in Internal Medicine through the study and publishing of articles, conferences, and workshops. I also plan to improve the relation of the chapter with other specialty societies promoting scientific meetings, workshops, and guidelines. Finally, the search for new educational activities that would make the participation and learning more attractive and to become physicians centered in the patient as a person.
