Pablo Flecher, MD, MACP graduated in Mexico in the 1940's. He then trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the Instituto de Nutricion in Mexico City. Afterwards Dr. Flecher furthered his studies in Endocrinology at Massachusets General Hospital. He returned to Panama and developed the Endocrinology department at the University of Panama, Santo Tomas Hospital and the Social Security Hospital. He has been chairman of the department of medicine at the University of Panama for more than 20 years.
Dr. Flecher recieved the Laureate Award in 1998 and became the first of our Chapter in 1999.
