Joseph Bozzay is a fourth-year medical student at West Virginia
University. He knew he had a passion for medicine at a young age
and prepared for medical school by earning an undergraduate degree
in biomedical engineering at the University of Virginia. Throughout
medical school, he actively participated in several clinical
research projects as well as community outreach opportunities. Joe
attended medical school under the Army Health Professions
Scholarship Program and recently matched to a general surgery
residency at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in
Bethesda, MD. He hopes to eventually pursue a fellowship in one of
several fields, including vascular or cardiothoracic surgery.
