In Step 2 of ACP’s four-part Quality Improvement (QI) curriculum, you will learn strategies for selecting metrics and for measuring change at each stage of the QI process. Developed by physicians for physicians and their clinical teams, this online training series guides you through each stage of the QI journey.

This series is designed to be taken in order, and each step builds on the last. If you haven't completed the previous module or you need a refresher, please go back to complete it before continuing.

The ACP Quality Improvement (QI) Curriculum offers a practical, step-wise approach that guides you through each stage of the QI journey from establishing the "what" and "why" for change to implementing and sustaining change. This online curriculum, developed by physicians for physicians and their teams, is offered as a series of four modules. Focused on simple, core concepts that can be applied to help achieve meaningful quality goals in a practical manner, this curriculum is designed to help clinicians engage and empower clinicians in quality improvement projects that are meaningful and put the clinician in the driver's seat.

The American College of Physicians (ACP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.

The ACP designates this internet enduring material for a maximum of .75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to .75 medical knowledge MOC point in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.
