Text Message/Pre-Recorded Messaging Terms and Conditions

1. Program Description 

The American College of Physicians (ACP) offers a text and pre-recorded messaging program to provide members and customers with important updates regarding their relationship with ACP and their existing products and services, such as dues reminders, membership notices, subscription renewal reminders, and information about their purchased resources. By providing your mobile phone number and confirming your consent to receive these messages from ACP, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. 

2. Consent 

By providing your mobile phone number during account registration, membership application, product purchase, member profile update,  within your account settings or in response to communications channel outreach forms submissions, and opting in, you grant ACP express written consent to send you important updates regarding your relationship with ACP and your existing products and services via text message and pre-recorded voice messages to the phone number you provided. These updates may include, but are not limited to, dues reminders, membership renewal notices, subscription renewal reminders, and information about your purchased resources. You confirm that you are the subscriber to the provided phone number or are authorized to provide consent. 

3. Message Frequency 

You may receive recurring messages from ACP. Message frequency will vary based on your account activity and triggered events, such as upcoming subscription expiration or payment confirmations. 

4. Message and Data Rates 

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details. 

5.Opt-Out and Help 

Opt-out anytime by replying STOP to any text message you receive from 22746. You will receive confirmation of your unsubscribe request, after which you will no longer receive text messages from ACP. For pre-recorded voice messages, you may have the option to opt-out during the call as instructed within the message. You can always opt-out of receiving future pre-recorded voice messages by contacting ACP Member and Customer Service at 215-351-2400 or help@acponline.org 

HELP: At anytime, you can text HELP to 22746. Texting HELP will return the following message: ACP: We’re here to help. Please call 800-ACP-1915 (800-227-1915) or 215-351-2600 for Assistance.

6. Pre-Recorded Voice Messages 

When delivering pre-recorded voice messages, ACP will clearly identify itself as the sender. ACP respects your communication preferences and will adhere to applicable laws or regulations, including Do Not Call lists. 

7. Changes to Terms 

ACP may modify these Terms and Conditions anytime. Changes will be posted on our website at our Terms & Conditions page. Continued participation in the program after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions. 

8. Privacy Policy 

Your privacy is important to us. Review our Privacy Policy at acponline.org/privacy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. 

9. Disclaimer of Liability 

ACP’s automated text messaging or prerecorded voice messages may not deliver immediately upon trigger (for example, nights, weekends or holidays).  ACP is not responsible for any delays or failures in the delivery of messages. 

10. Participating Carriers 

Our text messaging program is supported by most major U.S. mobile carriers. Please note that not all mobile devices or carriers may be supported, and text messaging may not be available in all areas. 

11. Governing Law 

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
