ACP Award for Distinguished Contributions to Behavioral Medicine

Established: 2014

This award is bestowed for distinguished contributions to the integration of behavioral medicine with traditional medicine. This award recognizes an individual who has furthered the care of patients by recognizing the importance of caring for the whole patient, both mind and body. This can be through research or clinical innovations.

Nominating and supporting letters should address:

  • How has the nominee contributed to the practice of behavioral health?
  • Are the nominee's contributions exportable and usable by other health care professionals?
  • Have the nominee's contributions been sustained over time?
