Call for Submissions: What will medicine look like in 100 years?

As medical students, you are the future of medicine, and ACP wants to hear your thoughts on what you think medicine will be like in 100 years. Think about how much medicine has changed in the past 100 years, and imagine what medicine will be like in the year 2115.

Consider recent advancements in medicine, how much has changed, and what has been achieved over the last 100 years. Now imagine what medicine will look like in a century from now in the year 2115.

How will medical technology have changed? Is there a cure for cancer and how was it developed? How might health care be structured? What do hospitals look like? What are the new public health concerns? What does medical education look like? How are doctors trained? How are patients informed?

Share your thoughts and predictions for what medicine will be like in the year 2115. Submit your ideas to ACP as essays, short stories, poetry, artwork, comic strip etc. Selected works will be published in ACP IMpact and the selected authors will also receive a logo prize from ACP.

Deadline for submission is Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Submissions should be Word documents for written submissions or JPEGs for art-based submissions. Please email your submission to impact@acponline.org. Please be sure to include your full name, medical school, graduation year and email address.
