Internal Medicine Essentials Covers

Dear Colleague:

IM Essentials is the next generation of MKSAP for Students and Internal Medicine Essentials for Clerkship Students, which are produced collaboratively between CDIM and the American College of Physicians (ACP). IM Essentials brings the self-assessment questions currently in MKSAP for Students and the textbook content of Internal Medicine Essentials for Clerkship Students together into a single, updated and integrated suite of educational materials with a variety of new enhancements.

IM Essentials was created by over 90 CDIM-member clerkship directors and 5 associate editors specifically for use in the clerkship to help students grasp important internal medicine concepts and apply them clinically. As always, IM Essentials content is based on the CDIM/SGIM core curriculum for the internal medicine clerkship and covers material students will likely encounter on the medicine shelf and USMLE Step 2 examinations.

As in the past, the textbook (IM Essentials Text) and self-assessment questions (IM Essentials Questions) will be available as print versions, with free access to the integrated electronic version of both resources (IM Essentials Online) included with the purchase of either print book. IM Essentials Online is also available separately from the print books.
