Winning our Resident Doctor's Dilemma Competition was the team from Marshall, headed by Eva Tackett MD, FACP and Samson Teka MD, FACP. This team will represent our chapter at the National Meeting in April.
Winning bragging rights for the Medical Students was the team from WVU-Morgantown.
We had a record breaking amount of posters presented in our poster session. There were 120 entries.

Year End Report of Chapter Finances
Accounting is holding about the same. After wrapping up the chapter meeting in October, our balance is $37,277.99. The total amount of registration fees and exhibitor fees taken in was $14,450.00. The total paid for the meeting was $19,897.70. Overall we had an overall profit of $4306.51 for the year and we ended with 1.39 years of reserves.
Volunteers Needed for User Experience Feedback for Online Learning Center
ACP's Medical Education Division is seeking volunteer members to participate in a brief (10 minute) user-experience feedback session related to web-based education redesign projects. As a thank you for participating, volunteers will receive a beautiful ACP-branded gift!
Volunteers will need a computer with internet access and a phone. Volunteers will need to have a ten-minute window available in January and February 2019, during Monday – Friday, between 9 AM – 5 PM Eastern. Interested volunteers should submit an email to Mandy Lawless, CME & Education Meetings. Further instruction will be sent via email to the first twenty (20) respondents.
ACP Releases New Edition of Ethics Manual
ACP released the seventh edition of its Ethics Manual on Jan. 15, published as a supplement to Annals of Internal Medicine and available online annals.org
New or significantly expanded sections of the ACP Ethics Manual include precision medicine and genetic testing, research and protection of human subjects, telemedicine, electronic communications, social media and online professionalism, electronic health records, and physician volunteerism.
A CME quiz and a MOC module are available for ACP members and subscribers to Annals of Internal Medicine.
