Candidate Statement:
It has been a privilege to have served you and our profession under the umbrella of the ACP for almost a quarter a century. An example of such a privileged service is the opportunity to have founded and directed a local Board Review and Update course, which is now in its 20th year and offers 20 hours of CME and MOC points. In addition to participating in several regional and national scientific and advocacy meetings, it has been an honor to assist in developing and mentoring colleagues, residents, fellows, medical students and pre-med students. I too received mutual invaluable mentoring and guidance along the way; it has been a remarkable journey. I am indebted to all of you and to the ACP for such great opportunities and wish to continue to serve you in a new capacity, as your future governor.
