Juan Luis Correa, MD, MACP

Juan Luis Correa, MD, MACP graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1946, trained in Internal Medicine at Gorgas Hospital and did his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Lehy Clinic in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the first medical director of the Social Security Hospital in Panama, the largest hospital in the city. Under his leadership, many young internist were sent to train in sub-specialties in the United States, and most of them became leaders in their own fields.

Dr. Correa received the Laureate Award in 1998 and a Masters of the College in 2003.
