A new report issued by the United Nations says that unprecedented efforts need to be made in order to have a chance at avoiding catastrophic effects from climate change in the near future. ACP has developed a Climate Change and Health Action Plan to help physicians take action. Read ACP's statement on the report here.

ACP is accepting applications for its fourth annual Innovation Challenge at the 2019 IM Meeting. The event showcases the best and brightest ideas from practicing physicians, fellows, residents, and medical students that have the potential to transform the practice of internal medicine on a national level. Selected finalists will present their projects to a panel of judges in front of a live audience at the meeting. A Grand Prize winner will be selected by the judges and awarded $20,000 to support implementation/study of their idea. The deadline for submitting applications is Nov. 30, 2018.
