Internists rally behind passage of key firearms bills

ACP released a statement in support of the passage of the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019 and the Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2019 by the House Judiciary Committee. ACP believes that this will help move the needle in addressing firearms violence and help enact common-sense policies to keep firearms out of the hands of those intending to harm themselves or others. ACP EVP and CEO discusses interoperability at HIMSS

ACP's Executive Vice President and CEO, Dr. Darilyn Moyer, spoke on a panel at the annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference. During the panel, titled “Advancing Interoperability and Data Access,” Dr. Moyer joined other health care CEOs and discussed how practical interoperability involves obtaining data that is clinically relevant and up to date and won't add more unnecessary burdens for physicians and patients.
