What is a mentor?
A mentor is an experienced person who can offer you advice on your education, future career and networking opportunities.
Why would I need a mentor?
ACP recognizes that the years of an internist's education, training and early career are those of excitement, challenge and anxiety. If you have specific questions about scheduling your summer preceptorships, getting through the match, and preparing for clerkships and residency interviews, we encourage you to seek out a mentor who can provide the guidance and information you need.
By searching the Mentoring Database, you agree to the terms and conditions.
Who would become my mentor?
The Mentoring Database is comprised of College members, including Program Directors, Clerkship Directors, Chairs of Medicine, and practicing internists, and residents.
How can I become a mentor?
You can sign up to mentor ACP Medical Student Members by filling out the New Mentor Form.
- If you would like to make changes/updates to your mentor profile, please contact Membership Development.
