Council of Student Members
Mission
To promote excellence and professionalism in medical students, thereby promoting internal medicine as a career.
Goals
I. To establish and promote the highest clinical standards and ethical ideals among medical students;
II. To expand Medical Student Membership in the ACP
III. To create educational and mentoring opportunities for medical students that are unique to internal medicine;
IV. To expand student programs and student involvement in local, regional and national ACP activities;
V. To create strong relationships with internal medicine practitioners, academic leaders, and general medical student organizations;
VI. To obtain current demographic information on students interested in internal medicine and assess our members' needs;
VII. To promote scholarly activity among medical students using College products and the College's Web site.
