ABIM’s MOC Program and MKSAP 15
Physicians maintaining their American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification can go to ABIM.org to see the specific requirements for MOC.
If you are enrolled in MOC and have subscribed to MKSAP 15, you can apply for 20 Self-Evaluation of Medical Knowledge points required under MOC, as well as 60 points required in either Self-Evaluation of Medical Knowledge or Practice Performance. This means you can use MKSAP 15 and MKSAP 15 Updates 1 and 2 for up to 80 of the 100 required Self-Evaluation points. MKSAP 15 cannot be used to apply for the remaining 20 points required in Self-Evaluation of Practice Performance.
How to Use MKSAP 15 for MOC
Earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ by completing subspecialty tests in MKSAP 15 or MKSAP 15 Updates 1 and 2 and submitting them online or in print. (The four Updates are sold as an $89 enhancement to MKSAP 15.) If you submit in print, keep copies of your answer sheets for later MOC submission.
Go to the online MKSAP 15 MOC Submission Form, log in with your ACP Online username and password, and locate records of your completed CME tests in the online form. (Please allow 4 days after online CME test submission and 6 to 8 weeks after printed test submission.) You can use any MKSAP 15 or MKSAP 15 Update CME test record – past, present, or future - as long as you are registered and eligible for MOC and you meet the deadlines listed above.
If you have submitted CME tests on paper, you will need to enter the answers from your answer sheet into the online MOC submission form. If you did not retain a copy of your answer sheet, you can use your CME performance report to complete the online MOC submission form. If you don’t have a copy of your answer sheet or performance report, call Sean McKinney at 215-351-2567 or Valerie Dangovetsky at 215-351-2553. Or send your ACP number, phone number, and the name of the test or Update here. We will contact you within 3 business days
