Library of Digital Health Apps for Patients
Are you keeping up with your patients’ interests in using digital health apps to monitor and manage chronic conditions and health? Recent surveys show 35-40% of adults use phone or tablet apps to manage their health.
Many apps have solid research which demonstrates their effectiveness, however, the biggest concern for patients and physicians alike is the security of private data entered into apps. The best apps are safe, secure, and effective, and the ORCHA App Library is designed to help you identify these.
The ORCHA App Library provides expert reviews of over 2,000 apps assessed against the Digital Health Assessment Framework (DHAF, developed with input from ACP). ACP members and subscribers can search by app name or condition area to find ratings, and refer to “top 10” lists in the following condition areas: Mental Health, Sleep, Diabetes, Heart Health/hypertension, Weight Management, COPD, and Asthma. Create your own lists of favorites to recommend to patients, or use the library as a reference when patients ask for your input on choosing apps.
The ORCHA App Library is available free to ACP members and for a $40 annual subscription to nonmembers.
