ACP Chief Resident's Corner

On behalf of the American College of Physicians (ACP), we wish you great success as you begin your journey as a learner, teacher, motivator, advisor, and mentor, also known as a chief resident.

We recognize that much of what a chief resident does is teach - yet very few chiefs are trained as teachers. Here you can use some of the College's top educational resources in ways that can help you assess resident skill levels, prepare residents for presentations, cultivate bedside teaching skills, and test diagnostic skills with interactive learning tools.

Bookmark this page, and use it throughout your chief year. ACP will be offering new content monthly, in the form of materials such as webinars and tutorials that will help prepare you for a very successful year.

ACP's Board Prep Curriculum is a collection of prepared lectures that enable you and other faculty members to present an in-house internal medicine review course with high-quality, consistent information to all your residents.

Divided into 46 interactive one-hour lectures that follow the ABIM certification exam blueprint, the course can easily be incorporated into your residents' weekly schedule. With more than 2,300 presentation slides, additional preparation time is minimal. In addition, existing presentations make recruiting expert faculty easier.
