Catherine Apaloo, MD, FACP

Catherine Apaloo, MD, FACP is the program director of the Internal Medicine training program at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. She is also the director of medical student clerkships, a general internist and clinician educator. She holds the rank of assistant clinical professor of medicine at the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Apaloo's special areas of focus in resident education are in ethics, end-of-life medicine and the approach to the different generations of physicians in the workforce. She completed a mini fellowship in palliative care education at Duke University Medical School and also participated in the Program in Palliative Care Education and Practice at Harvard University Medical School. She has been involved in the project of Improving Residency Training in End-of-Life-Care at the Medical College of Wisconsin sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
