Stage Party Instructions for Convocation 2024

For receipients of Mastership, national awards, Honorary Fellowship, Special Representatives, members of the Board of Regents, Officers Emeriti, EVPs Emeriti, and ACP Senior Leadership Team.

Convocation is a ceremony that recognizes outstanding contributors to internal medicine, held yearly at ACP’s annual meeting. New FACPs are inducted, visiting dignitaries (“Special Representatives”) from global internal medicine associations are introduced, and recipients of  Masterships, Honorary Fellowships, and awards are presented.

Stoles

Beginning at 4:30 p.m., please pick up your stole in the Stage Party Check-In Area, in Hall C of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, MA. Suggested attire is business. Coat check will be provided in front of Hall C. Please be in the Stage Party Assembly Area in Hall C by 5:15 p.m. Please note: you must RSVP to participate in Convocation; we are unable to accommodate walk-in participants this year.

Schedule

4:30 p.m.         Stoles pick up and assembly begins

5:00 p.m.         Doors open to ceremonial Hall B2 for guests

5:30 p.m.         Stage Party Assembly in Hall C: Please be prepared for a wait.

6:00 p.m.         Convocation Ceremony begins

During the Ceremony

Recipients of Honorary Fellowship, Mastership, national awards, and Special Representatives will be announced during the ceremony and each group will be invited to stand to be recognized. Please be mindful that this event is being recorded. The Convocation Program will be available digitally through the Internal Medicine Meeting app.

Guest Seating

Please note that no reserved seating tickets are necessary for guests, as all guest seating in Hall B2 is open. There will be ample seating available. However, guests should arrive early to ensure good seats and should be seated before 5:50 p.m., as no one will be seated during the processional.
