FACP Instructions for Convocation 2022

Date: Thursday, April 28, 2022

Time: Convocation begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. and lasts until approximately 100 minutes.

Location: The Convocation ceremony will be held in Hall F1, McCormick Place Convention Center, Chicago, IL.

Registration for Convocation:

Registration is now closed and we cannot accommodate walk-ins at Convocation.

Safety Information:

We encourage all guests and participants to be up to date on their COVID vaccinations. All guests and participants must follow masking requirements as posted at the McCormick Place Convention Center.

Stoles Pick Up:

Stoles pick-up and assembly will open 4:30 p.m. in Hall F1 of the McCormick Place Convention Center. All new FACP must report to the Governors and New Fellows Assembly Area with their stoles no later than 5:30 p.m. You may keep your stole following the ceremony.

Seating and Guests:

Special seats will be reserved in the auditorium for the inductees. No tickets are required for family and guests who wish to attend the Convocation Ceremony in support of honorees. Doors will open to family and guests at 5:00 p.m.

Special Assistance:

Any Convocation participants who require special assistance to attend the ceremony should contact Meghann Williams at ACP Headquarters by March 13, 2022, via e-mail at mewilliams@acponline.org.

Photography:

Portraits can be purchased from EPNAC Photography and Video. A number of packages are available and regalia will be available for poses photos if you wish to wear it. New Fellows Photography hours are Thursday, April 28 from 10:00AM - 5:00PM, and Friday, April 29 from 10:00AM - 2:00PM outside of Hall F1.

Candid Photographs:

Photographers will be taking candid photographs of Convocation participants in the hours leading up to and during the ceremony. Some of these photos may be used in future ACP promotional materials.

Wall of Fame:

New Fellows and their families are invited to visit the Wall of Fame, listing new Fellows inducted at Convocation this year. A terrific photo opportunity! The Wall of Fame is located in the lobby outside Hall F1. The Wall of Fame changes every year, so this is the only time these names will appear.

Fees:

There are no fees regarding the Convocation Ceremony.

Participating in Convocation:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, FACPs who would have been invited to participate in the 2020 and 2021 ceremonies if they had been held in person will be invited through the 2024 Convocation Ceremonies. All Fellows are welcome to be inducted at a future Convocation ceremony upon request and are advised to contact ACP headquarters at least four months prior to the ceremony.
