Board of Regents
Advise the Board of Regents on strategic direction that will enable the College to actively participate in the international medical community and to consolidate and coordinate international leadership, input and direction for the College, and provide a direct link between international leadership and the BOR.
Composition (Minimum 11)
All international Regents, up to five Governors of international chapters, and five at-large members. One international Regent (or other sitting Regent if none are international) serves as Chair; one international Governor serves as Vice Chair.
Note: All International Governors will be asked if they wish to serve on the Council. From the pool of interested Governors, the Chair, Board of Governors, will recommend to the Governance Committee the new Governors to be appointed to the council with an eye toward maintaining geographic and Governor class diversity.
Chair may serve for the duration of his/her term as Regent, up to four years.
Governors serve one, two-year term, with possible reappointment of one year (maximum term 3 years and no longer than term of Governor).
Regent members serve for the duration of their term as Regent (4-year term); at-large members serve two years with possible reappointment one year.
