Virginia Chapter Abstract Competition
The Virginia Chapter of the American College of Physicians is pleased to announce a Call for Abstracts for the 2014 Resident/Student Meeting. The event will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 hosted by the University of Virginia residency program and will be held in the Jordan Hall on the UVA campus.
The competition is open to ACP Resident/Fellow Members and Medical Student members, which means that the first author and presenter must be an ACP Resident/Fellow Member or Medical Student with current membership status. The abstracts will have two categories: clinical vignette and research. Each abstract will be ranked by scientific merit, originality, presentation, and clinical application. Winners from each of the two categories will be invited to present their work at the national competition held at Internal Medicine 2014 in Orlando, April 10-12, 2014. Runners-up will be invited to present at the ACP Virginia Chapter Annual Meeting and Clinical Update, March 7-8, 2014 and will be eligible for cash scholarships.
To submit your abstract, please visit the ACP Virginia Chapter Web site and utilize the Electronic Submission Form. The deadline is Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. We highly encourage you to submit early to ensure your abstract is received. You will receive an e-mail notification once your abstract has been successfully submitted. Note: abstracts submitted after this date will not be accepted.
