  • New Masters Awarded

    Congratulations to Joel T. Katz (Boston) and Marshall A. Wolf (Boston) who have been awarded Masters of the College. They will be inducted at the Convocation ceremony during the ACP Internal Medicine Meeting in April 2015. To be considered for Mastership, the candidate must have made a notable contribution to medicine. This includes but is not limited to teaching, outstanding work in clinical medicine (research or practice), contributions to preventive medicine, improvements in the delivery of health care, or contributions to medical literature.

    Member Receives National Award

    Congratulations to Thomas D. Sequist, MD, FACP who received the Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Award #1 from The Rosenthal Family Foundation. All national awards and Masterships will be presented during Convocation at Internal Medicine 2015 in Boston.

    2014 Internal Medicine Abstract Competition Winners

    Special congratulations to:

    • Aydah Alawadhi, MD from St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester, who was a winner in the Resident/Fellow Clinical Vignette Poster category at the Internal Medicine 2014 Abstract Competition. Her poster title was "A Non-acute, Acute Abdomen: An Atypical Presentation of a Striking Radiologic Fining."

    • Andrew Hwang from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, who was a winner in the Medical Student Research podium presentation category at the Internal Medicine 2014 Abstract Competition. His presentation was "Association Between Outpatient “No-shows” and Subsequent Clinical Outcomes."
